FQHR- MI Youth Larry Heyboer Memorial Scholarship
Each year the FQHR-MI will award a $500 scholarship to a current member in honor of Larry Heyboer. Previously in honor of Barbra Johnson.
Larry Heyboer had been a part of the FQHR-MI since 2000. His church services were always a lesson from which the youth could learn, and so did so many adults. FQHR-MI implemented this scholarship program to first honor all of Barbra Johnson’s contributions to the youth and to the growth of learning for everyone in our affiliate. It was changed to the Larry Heybeor Memorial Scholarship in 2022.
How to Apply for the Larry Heybeor Scholarship
In 500 words or less please provide the following information.
- List your current participation in FQHR activities.
- List other activities in equine, community, school, employment, church, responsibilities or any other venture you deem relevant for consideration.
- Describe your intent to enroll in any additional educational or learning experiences. Please list any costs involved and how this training will benefit you an others. Examples: higher education, trade school, equine seminars/clinics.
- Current students must provide transcripts from their last semester.
- Past recipients may apply again
