2010 Events

All of our shows will be held at Isabella Fairgrounds in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan this year. It's a wonderful place to work cattle and show your horses. It has plenty of camping spots with electric hookup. It has nearly 100 roomy stalls in the newly renovated 4H horse barn. There are clean facilities with showers and plenty of hot water. A chuck wagon is always cooking tasty food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our potluck on Saturday night will fill you up too. Follow this map link to one of our shows. You won't be disappointed.

Reminders:
Foundation Quarter Horses Only: We know many of you may have other great horse breeds at home, but our monthly shows are held to specifically showcase registered foundation quarter horses. Because we're a breed organization we kindly ask that you bring only registered foundation quarter horses to the show grounds.

Safety & Courtesy: Dogs must be leased. Horses need to be stalled or loaded in trailers at night (not tied to the outside of trailers).

FQHR Round Up & Review Update

Round-Up & Review Committee wanted to share this update with the members of the FQHR to make sure everyone has accurate information about this year's show.

The R&R Committee is a self-standing group of members from various states that are working very hard to make the 2010 FQHR R&R a great event. There was a profit last year, not a lot but enough to give us the encouragement to offer it again this year and allow us to purchase nicer awards for the event this year.

Entry fees, class sponsors and program advertising are our only source of income so we have to be careful with spending and ask for support and involvement from individuals and the affiliates.
The stall fees are set by the Lancaster Event Center and they cover the rent of the facilities.
Bedding must be purchased from the LEC but the sale of their bedding covers the cost of clean-up after the weekend so we can all simply go home.
We kept the entry fees low and with support and participation from all of you, we can again have a successful Round-Up & Review.
The contract for Lancaster Event Center has been signed.
The judges and scribes have been hired.
The staff is in place.
The classes are set, including some new and novice classes.
The cattle have been ordered.
Vendors have committed.
The website (fqhr.net) is carrying information for the R&R so we hope you will refer to it when needed.
We also encourage you to sponsor a class or two, urge your affiliate to sponsor as well, help us promote the event and most importantly, please join us in Lincoln, NE September 10-12.
There will also be a Judge’s seminar on Thursday September 9 to update the judges on rules and procedures.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the R&R Committee members.
